GSEZ Port – Palm Oil Handling System
Our first extensive overseas project as an EPC contractor was executed with Afcons (client) for the GSEZ port, Owendo, Gabon, Africa. The project entitled design, engineering, supply, fabrication, erection, testing and commissioning of Palm oil storage(10500MT) with necessary transfer systems with pigging operation. Our Procurement team wonderfully rose to the challenge of sourcing materials from around the globe and dispatching on time. The design team were presented the challenge of working for an infrastructure project for the first time and the projects & construction team were challenged with difficult overseas condition with a tight schedule. However, with exemplary teamwork and leadership from the management, this project now serves a true benchmark for United Systems.
